Sites Set On A Cure

GC3’s office manager, Colleen Sites, has been bicycling for more than a decade since her husband Jason was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Together they have logged hundreds of miles to support the National MS Society, with friends, family and fellow GC3 colleagues pitching in to help their team, “Sites Set On A Cure.”

Recently 10 members of the team rode 50 miles roundtrip from Ankeny to Woodward, raising more than $13,000 to advance research for the disease. MS affects the central nervous system, disrupting the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and the body.

The Bike MS Iowa Ride was the 8th one for Colleen and Jason. “Sites Set On A Cure” was the top fundraising team in Iowa for the second year in a row. More than 250 people registered for the event.

“I ride because my husband has MS,” Colleen says. “But some of fellow GC3 team members also have loved ones with Multiple Sclerosis.”

She adds: “It has been a way for us to stay focused on a cure.”
