    CEO/President

    27+ Years Experience

    CEO and president of GC3 since 2012, Ken oversees corporate management and serves as the principal in charge of construction projects. With his vision and leadership, GC3 has become a formidable force in the industry.

    Ken brings more than 27 years of commercial construction experience to our clients and has managed all phases of construction projects in both the public and private sectors. Ken earned a B.S. in construction engineering from Iowa State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines.

    In addition to his many professional responsibilities, Ken is also affiliated with the American Senior Housing Association, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aged, the American Institute of Architects, the Rotary Club of Des Moines and YPO International.

  • ED BOWDEN
    Chief Operating Officer.

    38+ Years Experience

    Ed is a key member of our management team, serving as our executive vice president of estimating and preconstruction. He applies his in-depth knowledge of commercial construction to each project at GC3.

    Before serving in his current role, Ed spent 14 years working extensively with religious organizations and bringing their dreams to reality as site engineer, project manager and estimator. Whether he is involved with a small remodel or a multi-million dollar facility, Ed’s expertise is invaluable. Prior to entering the workforce, Ed earned a B.S. in construction management from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

    Ed is involved with Master Builders Association of Iowa and is an affiliate member of the Property Loss Research Bureau. He also finds time to serve as an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America and is an active member of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines.

  • JOE STEIN
    Executive Vice President: Finance

    20+ Years Experience

    With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Joe serves as GC3’s executive vice president of finance. In his crucial role, Joe manages all financial, insurance, tax, legal and regulatory matters for our growing company.

    He began his construction career as a project accountant and gained valuable accounting experience in the manufacturing and agricultural industries. He earned a B.A. in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

    Beyond the numbers, Joe shares his knowledge with several organizations, including the Construction Financial Management Association, The Timberline Users Group and Master Builders Association of Iowa. He is also an affiliate member of the Property & Liability Resource Bureau.

  • PAUL NILLES
    Executive Vice President: Business Development

    15+ Years Experience

    As executive vice president of business development, Paul works to seamlessly integrate the restoration and construction management process into the property claims handling process. At the same time, he develops lasting relationships with the commercial industry.

    After achieving an A.A.S. in farm management from Iowa Lakes College, Paul went on to earn a B.S. in business administration and a Masters of Business Management from University of Phoenix. He also brings more than 30 years of construction experience and 15 years of property large loss adjusting supervision and claims management knowledge to our team.

    Paul is active in numerous professional organizations including Master Builders Association of Iowa, the National Speaker Association and the Property Loss Research Bureau. In addition, he has earned both his Associate in Claims and his Senior Claims Law Associate designations.

  • 1994

    Insurance Claims Construction Incorporated (ICCI) is created.

  • 1997

    ICCI changes its name to GuideOne Taylor Ball Construction (GTB).

  • 2005

    GTB creates a subsidiary, Taylor Claims Consulting and Construction (TC3).

  • 2013

    GTB and TC3 merge to form GC3.
