GC3 Launches Quarterly Roof Training Seminar

Through The Roof. One of GC3’s hallmarks is our expertise and attention to detail. Both measures will be on full display with the initiation of the company’s quarterly Roof Training Session on March 26th. Billy Owens provides over two decades of roofing experience in both the construction and insurance fields.

“Roof losses are one of the most frequent and misidentified claims due to the variance of damage that can occur as well as what it takes to justify roof replacement versus repair. Compound this with the innumerable and complex roof systems on the market today, it can be a daunting task to keep abreast of all this. I look forward to enhancing adjusters’ ability to accurately identify the correct roof systems and to accurately assess roof damage as well as create efficiency in the claims process.” – Billy Owens

Roof losses consistently make up a considerable portion of any insurance carrier’s portfolio. Between 2010 and 2014 analytics business Xactware documented 8 million roof losses. Verisk’s A-Plus property database recorded 6 million paid roof claims between 2008 and 2013, a 65% increase in claims payments from the previous six year metric.

Carriers nationwide will partake in the inaugural event at GuideOne Academy in Des Moines. The two-part session will include dialogue with our executive staff to enhance discussion between industries. Owens will cover roofing system distinctions and the best methods to identify loss types. Carriers, adjusters, agents and managers interested in participating in our Q2 seminar can sign-up for our next offering in May.
